The building housing the The Broadway Central Café,
114 So. Broadway, South Amboy N.J. was built around 1935 and opened as a grocery store. Converted to a pub shortly before 1940 it has maintained it's role ever since. The Broadway Central Café is opened Tuesday to Sunday and is closed on Mondays.

Its Wayne's Pub

One of the most interesting features of the Café is the unusual art works that adorns every wall and corner of the building. Almost all of the pieces were done by Wayne, the owner, who studied art at Pratt University.
