While in the most intriguing Can't Miss category is the new one from Latshaw, which features for the first time their new lead vocalist, Mike Affinito, formerly of Tru Smoke Diezel..I>E., In the few months he has been in Latshaw, Mike, 28, has written lyrics to 6 of Latshaw's instrumentals, 2 of which guitarist Billy Latshaw finished writing the music a month or so ago. Talk about chemistry on fire! The East Brunswick. based Affinito has added an explosive new dimension to the Helmet meets Metallica machinery of this Best Hard Rock Act of Asbury Music Awards 2000,, and a 'Bury-based Latshaw finished up their third CD in late February. on his own slamming instrumentals in a Rock-Fusion vein. He wrote all the songs, and addition to playing keyboards he also plays electric, acoustic & bass guitars, with Keith
