What's Up This Month on the New Jersey Coast

New Vinyl Breakdown 2001 (continued from page 5)
But Keep Ears up for Bayshore PopRockers Cinema Star's new 4 CD project. Kenny and the boys tell us re in process of getting their 1st 4 song CD mastered and pressed: The Project is officially a demo but it will be available at the band's gigs: Shooting for mid April pressing, It contains the songs "Widescreen","Diamond", "Clone", and a newer, slower song called "In the moment"--

And its Official, Mellow Rockers SamHill have finally climbed that Ultimate Thrill Hill!!

By the power invested in me I am proud to announce that Samhill, has finally signed a major recording contract with Epic/ Sony…Our Heart-Rockin' Best goes out to Peter Scherer, Gordon Brown and the guys for following their dream, and heck, I'm getting all misty-eyed; I recall back in the mid-80's when singer Peter was just a baby fronting his band 'Standby'; I used to book 'em on Tuesday nites at The Pony, band uniform was t-shirts, sneakers n' baseball caps, and Pete would sing with the hat tilted a bit down, shy or nervous, could never quite tell, but after years of barband hell and grazing the Brass Ring w/that Mr. Reality/SBK thing, they've finally got a solid Major Deal going, and the release of their major label debut album is scheduled for this Fall! Now That's One hell of a way to kick off Springtime!…That's all I can squeeze out for now, hope to see you next time w/more local Rock Bits, News n' Dish!
