What's Up This Month on the New Jersey Coast

Volume 2, Number 8, page 12

SHOREWORLD
(continued from page 11) where we were pleasantly pulverized and bowled over by heartcore acts like Knuckle Sandwich, Smack Magnet & Flat Morrison), when we got an Aggressive Electric missive from the aforementioned Punch and Resurrection AD..The good news is longterm Indy label Resurrection has just signed the Flemington-based Knuckle Sandwich to 4 Song EP due out in Spring, 2002.The label also just signed The Spitvalves {From Florida}, and with their own American and International distribution, Resurrection A.D. is an Indy label to watch.. {Remember Epitaph/The Offspring?}

Knuckle Sandwich was formed in '96 by two pairs of brothers,Richie & Jay and Mike & Bobby who were all buds and musical soulpals since high school. Their music is a hooky blend of Punk Rock rooted in hardcore, w/singalong choruses of 80's hair metal that suck you in with its positive vibe and makes you laugh and boogy right alongside these guys..With the strong possibility that this band will soon go national, the rest sounds gleefully ominous too...

Punch Records also reps Punk, Hardcore & Ska Shows with a core stable of acts like The Spitvalves, Stutter, OS101, Dodgeball, plus the Knuckle Boys and Postman Syndrome, and many more, because this is the Jersey Indy that makes the challenge "Help us unite and make the most unified local music scene NJ has ever seen."...

A ballsy little bunch of Indy Heroes if I ever saw one, while the Rest of the good news is that Knuckle Sandwich just got added to the After Van's Warped Tour Show at the Stone Pony, Sunday Aug 5th with OS101, Dodgeball and The PennyRoyals!

What can I say, except to echo the Punch Records Motto
