In other Electron Bitz, the new project KILLSWITCH featuring former members of Nude Swirl and Okra is still twitching in the laboratory and, according to keyboardist/programmer Lord Michael the Bayshore-based electronique unit is still working on their new show, and promises to unveil it all to the shore world soon…
Commons Ink Deal with Cinecall; Uncommon Song to be on Big Screen!--South Jersey's Keith Monachio's band The Commons will be heard in an upcoming Shore-filmed Movie called "Just Lovers".  The song is called "Snake Charmer" from their forthcoming CD "Eat off the vines".

The Commons' deal was networked thru George McMorrow's Red Bank based soundtrack company Cinecall, and the movie's release is scheduled for this summer.  The company releasing the movie is Fiesty Films, while. Ratamacue records is releasing the soundtrack to the movie. Other tracks on the film's soundtrack include Shore veteran allstars like Bobby Bandeira, Lance Larson and others.
The Commons will playing the flic's premiere party "whenever that is", and the band is taking July off to put the finishing touches on the CD. More info at www.kmusic.com

New Jersey Seafood Festival

My favorite part of any festival is the activities for kids. Kids, in my opinion, are the most entertaining things in the world. Truthfully, I spent a great deal of time in the children's activities tent with my 8 year old brother, Jake. He had a ball painting pictures of scary sea creatures and dancing to the music of Joe Rick. We also went on a Nature Walk on the beach with a volunteer form the Belmar Tourism Commission and surprisingly, it was incredibly informative. We also took some time to check out the educational sites such as the one presented by the U.S. Navy Dive Team. Jake though the divers were the epitome of cool. I also signed him up for the blueberry pie eating contest. Boy, was he surprised when they called him up! I think he might have won if we hadn't been stuffing our faces all afternoon.
