DAVE ERIC's 'Dreamer' AWAKENS the shore world--This longterm Shore Scene veteran and Freehold/Bosstown native has made some incredible inroads w/the release of his new 4 song CD Dreamer; Utilizing a mild pop sheen with rock hooks that build lyrical urgency on tunes like the title "Dreamer" cut, the song's moody interludes and understated insight show an obvious growth since his last project. Indeed, while on the streets

only a few weeks, 'Dreamer's' already gotten airplay on WTSR, WBJB and Q104, and Eric just clinched a deal with MTV to use the new CD songs as part of the soundtrack for their new 90210-clone show "Undressed". As Eric's lover's murmurs nestle into the mix, you realize

No ones ever gonna tell this guy it doesn't pay to dream anymore, as a further musical transformation is felt on the tension-flexing intro riffs of 'Beg for Me;' where multi-layered harmonies and a guarded optimism shade his sentiments about the end of an affair that ring empathetic bells as Eric caresses your ears with deft production touches..A more edgy sentiment follows with the subtle lyrical irony of 'Take The Fall', while the rock-laced, funky anger of 'The Crush'uses crisply striding electric guitars and a great lyrical contrast [You took me in/its over now/and now you're mine/to live without!] again layer this song with FM friendly flavors. Which brings me to what the festival was all about. Great food!
Jake and I made an effort to try at least one thing from each stand but by booth number fourteen, I was ready to burst and Jake looked kind of green. What we did do was visit all of the concession stands I knew offered music at their restaurant. The first one was Danny's Steakhouse & Seafood Grille of Red Bank for some lobster ravioli. I've never dined at Danny's before and probably never would have until I tasted these ravioli. I was tempted

to give up the 'trying one thing form each booth' thing and eat ravioli till I burst but
