Eat to the Beat... New Jersey Seafood Festival (from page 7)
luckily Jake had something else in mind. Unfortunately, that other thing was alligator sausage from Ragin' Cajun of Belmar. I, personally, am not a big fan of alligator. I find it a little too fishy but
Jake insisted I try it again and I still didn't like it. That's O.K. because he thought is was the best thing since Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and inhaled the sausage like air. Their was no end to the
vendors offering clams on the half shell, crab cake sandwiches and shrimp kebabs. And if I ever see another soft shell crab again it will be too soon .Luckily their was salvation from seafood overkill.
It came in the form of Victorian desserts. Between the two of us we devoured a Victorian strawberry shortcake, an English cream buns and this amazing apple tart thing continued on page 18
