What's Up This Month on the New Jersey Coast

Volume 2, Number 6, page 11

"SHORE WORLD" (continued from page 9)
eternal Hippy Kid and his Hohner are really getting' around!…

AND THEN THERE WAS THE SHEDDING THE BURLAP TOUR - The following is an in-house Tour Report from Road Manager 'Skybolt" Jim Raia, on former Burlap To Cashmer Frontman/Guitarist Josh Zandman's recent mini-tour through Virginia & Pennsylvania..:

The Red Bank-based Josh Zandman was out on his own {And out of the Burlap} showing the talents that God has given him, with J. Pat Dalton of Secret Sound. Josh put away the Keys when he left Burlap and brought the guitar. Zandman's 3 day tour started out Friday night 5/19 w/2 shows in Vienna Va. at the Java Joint Coffee house to full house.

Then it was off to Worship 2001 at Mifflinburg High School PA , where J Pat Dalton, armed with the ever-present blues harp, machinegun mandolin and a voice that reached heaven as he sang out to God "let the sunshine in"(from Hair) ripping in right after Josh's "How good it feels", as they brought everyone in the house to their knees. Then it was over to Doylestown College for a "Habitat for Humanity" Concert where the boys left them praying for more.  All the shows proved that Josh Zandman has what it takes. Jane Says...
(continued from page 9)

S.S.:
Well, it's a city. A city's a city. When you go to .N.Y.C., you put a mentality into your head that you have to have...street smarts. Don't leave stuff in your car and always be...one step up in your consciousness of what's going on around you and you'll be fine.
J.T.:
On the other hand, that [danger] kind of adds to the excitement.
S.S.:
Yeah, it's a city!
J.T.:
How did you open The Saint?
S.S.:
It was O'Shea's Rock And Blues and the person who was doing it closed down. My partner Adam Weisburg knew the owner and they talked and he asked me if I wanted to go into busineS.S.: with him. I looked at the room and it was perfect. You know, straight back and not a bad view from anywhere...only thing in The Saint is that if you're not tall...
J.T.:
Yeah, girls - wear high heels...or boys...
S.S.:
So there's no obstruction from seeing the band and the sound goes straight back. The Saint will hopefully be expanding in the next 12 to 16 (continued on page 12).
