A Good Feeling All is well at the Court Tavern with merciless power-pop from You Were Spiraling, Overlap,
Akasa, and Evelyn Forever Heading out to the Court Tavern in New Brunswick around 9:00 PM on the evening of May 11 gave me a good feeling inside for a number of reasons. First, I knew I was going to see some really talented musicians. And secondly, I thought this historic establishment could use another body at one of its shows in order to make a stand against greedy investors eager to put a boring office buillding it its place.

My feelings were justified for I did see some incredible musicians and an audience with the same sense of purpose to keep the Jersey music scene alive.
The evening kicked off with the progressive power pop of You Were Spiraling. This is one of those bands that would drive the punks crazy with their very ornate arrangements and

Riverfest 2001 Need we say more? Yes, it is that time of year again, folks. Riverfest is here. Last year's Riverfest was a blast with the likes of Jeffrey Gaines showing to bring it all
home.
This year's hopes to be even better. It will take place on June 1-3 at the Marina on the Navesink River in Red Bank, where there will be several stages with a variety of local and international performers from the genres of jazz, gospel, and even rap. One the featured acts will include none other than world renowned clarinetist
