The following is an interview Janey Todd held with Ron Frankovsky exploring the many wonders of the open mike night held every Wednesday at Bar Anticipation on 16th Avenue in Belmar.
Janey Todd: So Ron, where did it all begin? Ron Frankvosky: Well, after high school... I got out of high schol, I played for about two years. J.T.: Guitar? R.F.:
Guitar, and sang and got out of that got a job as a roadie and did that for like five or six years, and then didn't play guitar for like twelve or thirteen years. J.T.: And what made you get
back into it again? I think we talked about this but just for... R.F.: Well ,yeah of course...well... J.T.: I'll confess my story after yours. R.F.:

Well, actually when I got back into it, it was to impress [slightl gentlemanly pause] woman. J.T.: Oh, one specific woman? R.F.: Yes, yes. J.T.: Aha! R.F.:
Yes, it didn't really pan out but we're friends now, but I mean, that's really got me into it. What happened was I went to garden party. J.T.: Went to a garden party...[lame singing]
R.F.:
Went to a garden party [not quite as lame singing] and I practiced a little bit and I knew I could play guitar and I set up all this equipment and I just took a chance. It was at a beautiful home in Sea Girt, I guess it was...again, this was to impress a girl named Anna Karenina [not the real name]. Don't put that in ther! (continued on page 7)
