We caught the easy-warming, softspoken storyteller's style of a new and re-grooved Frank Sabo of The Candle Brothers recently, as he mellowed down an edgy midnight hard rock crowd with his gently insistent vocals on classic Jackson Browne, James Taylor & David Wilcox tunes..Rumor is, "The Strange Ranger' was hibernating this past winter, licking some old wounds, tuning his guitar, and springing back into fine form like the mellow lunatic he is…Frank's also back to doing regular gigs w/longterm partner Pat Guadagno in The Candle Brothers, after working through some personal problems amidst an alleged "Life Crisis"….

For a New Rockin' Addition to Asbury Singer/songwriter Jeff Trenholm's posse, I.E., Behold Jessica Margaret Trenholm. born at 12:13 am on Friday, April 13th. This 9lb, 9 oz.wonder is the first born to Trenholm and wife Sandy, and according to the press release, "This really makes the future seem so bright." As you know, the usually darkly emotional Trenholm has more reasons to feel the sappiness of springtime; The quiet, bespectacled dude from the Asbury 'burbs has been scoring 1,000's of hits a month on his MP3 material [like 'Garden of Black'] and he's just released another single. "Big Brown Gravy" and "Losers Medicine" allowed the funk to creep a little into their heavy thrash sound thanks to bassist Jerry Gerard. Guitarist Greg Antine provided Keith Richards-flavored riffing on "Misery Loves Misery," while "My Own Business," with its syncopated rhythms, brought Gerard and drummer Mike Antine to the fore.
