What's Up This Month on the New Jersey Coast

Volume 2, Number 5, page 14

Joe's Drivel
(we're 3 years old!)

(continued from page 13)
as time goes on. If you know anyone in the pictures (and can tell us how to contact them) it would be really helpful if you would E-Mail us any contact info you have. Last year we began covering the area around New Brunswick. Our schedule listings for the area are reasonably complete, but starting this summer we plan to increase our coverage and should have a person dedicated to the vicinity before school resumes in September. If you know about events in the area give us as much lead time as possible so we can try and have someone attend.

In the coming year, NJCoast wants to increase our coverage of the Jersey Shore, but to grow, we need your help. We are actively seeking information on any festivals, fairs, shows, carnivals... along the NJ Coast. Please E-Mail us if you have any good tips. We're trying to gather information on venues along the NJ Coat south of Belmar and especially on venues south of Toms River. If anyone is playing that section of the state, knows of interesting venues, or has information on music and events south of Belmar, please clue us in and feel free to pus us on their mailing list.

And in closing I want to give public thanks to the core of our group, the people that have been with us in one way or another since the beginning, Dave Gorsky, Rebecca Cavanaugh and Bobby Strange. I also want to thank the new regulars including Chris Barry, Janie Todd, Erik Balky, Josh Zandman, Dina, Leslie and the endless cast of extras.

Jane Says
(continued from page 13)

So Paul was very tolerant of me and my sucky guitar playing (must have been the headlights) and there I met the famous Kbob and other wonderful and supportive people too numerous to mention.

Here, then, is the loose transcript of our meeting. I've edited out a few things that were Way too fascinating and personal (yeah) to print, or, more likely, anything that might make whomever we were talking about ticked off at us. We come in as Paul is politely hinting for me to get on with it.

ph   so then, what's...uh, what's...
jt   what's the purpose of this whole thing?
ph   what is my...
jt   what is your raison d'etre? So Paulie!
ph   yes!
jt   how long has Paul's been open?
ph   since 1978, so twenty
