They closed their set with a fiery gem that started like a reflective Tom Petty number but then throws you into the mosh pit in a quick thirty seconds, which was difficult to avoid, for the entire place was packed!!!

Madjul, whose mantra is "the sound of madjul, the sound of emotion,"is set to play the Saint on Saturday May 5 along with Dragpipe. They also may have some shows in New York City coming soon. jt   and when did you start working here? How old were you?
ph   when i was about ten.
jt   so what did you start doing when you were ten?
ph   [a little shocked] like... [laughs]
jt   besides that, at the bar, I mean.
ph   mopping the floors...
jt   Oh! I know how to do that.
ph   washing dishes, cleaning out slimy...there was this well behind the bar where the excess draft beer used to run into and you had to get a soup ladle and get out all the gross beer from this well...it's long gone...I used to have to do that on Saturday mornings...
jt   can you tell us something about the food?
ph   uh, it's cheap. [deadpan]
jt   yeah, no kiddin..
ph   we do a lot of steaks. On Monday night we have a 16 oz. steak for eight dollars.
jt   and you have a lot of cajun and blackened stuff...
ph   yeah, it kinda changes.
