Stone" about a Vietnam vet who succumbs to drug addiction. After his next original songs of bitterness and anti-war stances, Spook pledged to get the depressing songs out of the way.
He upped the humor bar quite a bit, delivering his original tunes that focus on everything from the CIA ("Mr. Gregory"), to stupid people ("Foolish Questions"),
to imaginary childhood friends ("California Cool"). Spook managed to pepper his sets with the best covers, including songs by John Denver, Arlo Guthrie, and even Jerry Herman of Disney fame.
One particular highlight was Spook's "Vote," a tune from his New CD "Breakfast at Bill's" which he had the opportunity to sing at a Folk Festival in Texas headlined by Peter, Paul, and Mary. Never a mere passer-by of political and human rights issues, Spook addresses in "Vote"
