What's Up This Month on the New Jersey Coast

But when the community comes together to honor bravery and commitment in the face of evil, things don't seem that bad after all.

Two Nights at The Broadway Central Café, October 12 and 13 was an example of that community coming together to raise money for the Red Cross Relief Fund for the victims of September 11th, with emphasis on the families of the police and firefighters who periled.

The cause and purpose of such an event propelled each act to perform at their best. Atlantic Highlander Josh Zuckerman splashed right in as the first performer with power pop designed to uplift. Marielle's Jazz
(continued from page 1)

Marielle's is the latest place to join up with the well-organized group known as the JSJBF.

The JSJBF is a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to preserve, promote, and perpetuate jazz and blues in the northern New Jersey shore region through performance and education.

Now Marielle's, also called Marielle's on Main, is part of that vision.

The restaurant is located at 32 West Main Street in Freehold.

It's host to live music six nights a week, 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Thursdays; 7 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 5 to 9 p.m. Sundays.

     What's more, there's no cover at Marielle's.

To make a reservation for the place, call (732) 308-9808.–by Catherine E. Galioto
