SHORE WORLD/OCTOBER 2001~!~!~! I know, I know, you're sick of hearing it, bone weary and media-burnt, alternating between disbelief, confusion and blind anger. But I can't help this, Just for the record and just like any other pundit who's been gently massaging or hammering his message into our collective American psyche. For The Spirit is strong, because we like to laugh at death in the face, I.E., ; I've seen some great internet postings, the weeping eagle, statue of liberty flips a bird, Bin Laden toilet paper, and uh oh, yep, even the one w/the tourist on the WTC observation deck, posing for a picture as the airliner roars in on the background... Its a fake, but it's got a surreal, kind of Alfred E. Neuman quality to it… Anyway, though, the real shit that keeps me up at night, that makes me toss and turn and sweat also made me do my homework: On the Taliban, Bin Laden, and the extremist [Suni based] Islamic credo which Ossholea's boys are following.. Many of Bin Laden's posse are hardened veterans of the 10 year Russian/Afghani war, and they do not WANT any aspects, trappings, or material aspects of western society, they do not WANT our big houses, fancy cars, rock bands, etc. Our way of life is morally degrading, degenerate, and we must be taught a lesson. And people do not realize or find it hard to understand, but these guys aren't mentally ill nor do they envision themselves as desert rats worshipping a filthy pagan god. Their version of Allah is Just, Righteous and Punishing, so those of us looking for easy answers had better alter their PC image of "Ahab the A-rab the sheik of the burning sands' quickly, because they think like the Saracen of the old Crusades, I.E., 'Convert or face THE BLADE'! You should also know, I'm sure, the obvious Nazi/totalitarian associations & practices that are so similar to Bin Laden's extremism as to be CLONED, such as the hatred of Jews and Americans, the Taliban 'Crackdowns on Moral Impurity", the training/brainwashing of young children, the destruction/oppression of the weak, infirm [women/hospitals, whole villages burned alive in the Afghanistan conflict] Finally, starkly, realistically speaking, those of us wringing our hands praying or hoping for peace, "negotiations" etc need to realize one bluntly chilling truth about 'The Enemy' here: If you saw the film 'Independence Day', (continued on page 5) . |
