Our summer's over, MINE's just begun, and between you and me, I'm damn GLAD to see those benny drones go bye-bye to the sun....Say Good-bye to polyester knuckleheads gawking up my Shore sidewalk, Farewell to Neo-Artsy Noodniks getting hot n' sweaty over antiquing, and Kiss off screaming, children freaking hi-pitched screeches down my sand, and scratch out rudeboy one-night wieners who stop me just to ask where The Boss will JAM!; In short, Good Riddance until next year, 'cuz we just aint' kidding, we still live here..…

Feel Better now? Good, Let's Finish off This Summer with an SUV-LOAD OF ELECTRIC DIRT!!

The rumors are over, and Its OFFICIAL: Former Megaforce Records act Nudeswirl will reunite for an October show at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick; Although they haven't played together for more than six years, NudeSwirl was the first 'Alternative' band to have a video on MTV; Formed in 1989 Nudeswirl [named after an occultish medieval ritual} was signed to Megaforce and broke up in '95 after an intensely stressful two years of touring.

Incidentally, the now-famous cover picture of their self-titled LP released in 1993 was done by local artist/Broadway Central Café' owner Wayne Turback, and has sold over 50,000 copies to date. The October reunion will         (continued on page 7)

Joe's Drivel

WOW! Time flies... Just one year ago NJCoast presented it's first newsletter, a long one page sheet (really a single, long web page) that needed no index. The original contributors included Dave Gorsky who now acts as Editor and Chief of our monthly news letter, Anne Freeman from the Princeton Songwriters Guild, Bobby Strange who started his "Ask Bobby" column, Allie Moss, and myself welcoming everyone to NJCoast's new News Letter.

As the first year whizzed past, and the News Letter grew from a one page sheet, to 6 then 8 and sometimes in busy months a 22 page spread, a number of other local artists contributed the articles to helped fill our pages with the information that makes NJCoast the popular newsletter it is today.

Special thanks goes out to Chris Barry for his Shore World Column, Janey Todd for her epic interviews, Erik Balkey's
