   Still in demand nowadays as a studio session player, Hawkins said they're rehearsing with an eye towards live performances, and ‘who knows what'll go down' from there..Stay Tuned..
   And they're Baa..ack from LA, so Voodoo Vibe, Ocean County's hottest up and coming rootsrock band will again host their local weekly jam session at Tin Lizzy, Rt. 37 East, Toms River, from 10-1:30.
   The band resumes the open jams on alternating Thursdays, with the next ‘Lizzy Jam" April 18th and May 2nd : The Tin Lizzy Thursday jam is open to all bands and all musical styles. You're welcome to jam w/ the Vibe on their equipment, and there's No Cover, so jump in or just hang out and check out the talent. PH#?
     But if you don't wanna go ‘round the musical bend, check out the Jersey Shore's reigning king of rock n' bluesabilly guitar, the one and only Sonny Kenn Band. The man Springsteen called ‘my partner Sonny' in his song ‘Racin' In The Streets' will play "The Harpin' for Hunger Benefit' with bluesharp genius Stringbean on Sunday April 14th at
Bar A in So. Belmar..Next Friday the 19th, Sonny and his band tear it up at The Walt Street Pub in Red Bank, and Every Sunday from 7 to 10 PM, sample some cool rockin' blues with Sonny and Stringbean at Belmar's Rajin' Cajun restaurant.
Shore Sonik Update: TOMMY ZVONCHEK
     He’s toured and recorded with everyone from Johnny Rotten, Blue Oyster Cult, Suzanne Fellini and Flo and Eddie to Clarence Clemons, Spencer Davis and Kasim Sulton, and Shore-based keyboard genius Tommy Zvonchek give us Word Up recently on his newly revamped website http://www.zkgmusic.com; is fully loaded with new ‘Z’ music tracks and photos from performances and his numerous live tours.
     It includes tracks from his space-synth masterpiece, last year's "ZKG" which was his debut solo project that included tracks recorded with former BOC bandmate guitarist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser. Check out MP3's like ‘The evil that lurks within', along with new material from his upcoming ‘ZKG 2" like ‘Friendly Fire' which Zvonchek recently put on-line.
   So check it out, it's a rare chance to sample an artist like Zvoncheck in psyko-synthoid progress.

It's a Swing Thing

the evening was Andrew Ferguson, Scotch Plains High School. He also won the top prize of a $24,000 scholarship for four years for Georgian court.
   Ferguson has been a Gospel performer at his church and in ten years hopes to be performing with someone big like Harry Connick Jr.
   His influence and admirations are his teachers, Mr. Truiello, Durrand Thomas, and Thomas Hardy.  Between the three of them, they offer over thirty year's experience.
   When Ferguson plays, his fingers fly over the piano in a fury of mad delight. His five years of piano experience thrilled the crowd. Energy and strength will guide him to Carnegie Hall.
The scholarship winners are only eligible if they attend the college. The scholarships are for each year that they attend.

   The band feels the song "Fall Away", an original creation, is their favorite. Another song of their own "Idiot Girl" describes the band.The song is about a mask being removed and when they play they remove their masks to reveal themselves.
