KASIM SULTON BRINGS A SENSE OF ROCK N ROLL HISTORY TO THE COAST
He's been in the biz for 25 years. He's been on MTV back in the days when they actually showed videos. He's Kasim Sulton who can
probably tell you some juicy parables about some of the biggest names in rock. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island, Sulton is best known as the bass player and vocalist in Todd Rundgren's
art-pop band Utopia, recording nine albums from 1977 through 1986. He also shared lead vocals with Rundgren and managed to pen the group's only Top 30 single in 1979, "Set Me Free."
The association with Rundgren also led Sulton in another direction: playing on one of the best selling albums of all time, continued page 3
