Although this song was inspired by the tragic events of September 11th of 2001, these lyrics can also be interpreted when related to Asbury Park as an invitation to check out the revitalization of a town once thought to be in such a state of disrepair that it was

written off by most. I believe that out of the tragic destruction that took place on 9-11-01, a new powerful spirit of renewal and community has been born in towns across the country. As I drive up and down the Jersey coast, the feeling of community and evidence of rebirth are everywhere.

All Ages at The Saint

When I entered through the modest doorway into the Saint, I found an intimate and chill bar setting with an alternative punk decorum. Though it wasn’t very spacious or able to contain a large crowd, it allowed for free style dancing and a close relationship between the bands and those who were ready to

rock. I saw a range of bands from punk to ska to indie rock, all of which sent their unique musical vibes into the crowd of young music lovers.
The first group to perform was four kids from Point Pleasant who called themselves Pick Up Window.
