It was then that they added bassist Matt Agresti to the mix and released the EP
"Paint Me Fine and Free" (2002). Andrews describes this album as "moving more into the 'blow the doors off and punch the windshield out type of music.'"
"Writing the Broken Line," which was at the end of July, is more mature and brighter sounding. The band has moved to a professional producer and it shows. They have also just added a new
member, Jeff Ulrich, formerly of The Only Normal who debuted with them at their album release party at the Fast Lanes on July 26. The songs are sing-along catchy but the lyrics are
melancholy and intelligent, preventing the songs from becoming annoying when played too many times and thus preventing me from shooting myself when they get stuck in my head. Their sound and lyrics have
a maturity that is rare in this corner of the world of music, possibly because the Andrews brothers are old enough to keep their music free of futile angst, and the other members are mature enough to
show up for band practice. Million Time Winner is currently in New Hampshire for the Inside-Out Soul Fest and will be playing at Red Bank's First Baptist Church on Maple St. August 16th
