The food is delicious and presented with chi-chi gourmet style: artistically arranged dishes on geometrical flatware. As for
the offerings, the flank steak (twenty-two dollars) and fried shrimp and fried calamari appetizers (ten and eight dollars respectively) are all very appealing and satisfying choices. Aside from the
classy atmosphere and the beautiful people, a principal draw of Nova Terra is the entertainment.
Around ten o’clock on this particular Friday, New Jersey-based seven-piece band de Sol starts to set up their equipment. At dessert time, their energetic Latin music with Spanglish lyrics had a few people salsa dancing in the space between the front tables and the stage; by the time they are a few songs into their first set, this area was packed with people showing off their hip-shaking abilities. Refreshingly, more people than not seemed to know what they are doing on the dance floor, and percussion-heavy de Sol gave them plenty of inspiration.
