I’d like to apologize that this issue is so late. Summer is over, and with it goes the NJ Coast staff. (Thanks to everyone-Dina, Adam, Eve and
Erin-for all of your help this summer.) Despite its lateness, this is a good issue. We have two restaurant reviews, including my personal obsession, La
Chalupa. We have profiles of Coffee Blue owner, Rich Cali, and the amazing musician Allie Moss. We also have a new article from Bobby Strange on the musician Shayne Fontaine. At least check it out for Bobby’s picture-it makes me laugh every time I see it.
In this issue, there is also a letter on page 2 about our recent Street Life review. The article panned the weekly event, calling it “just short of mediocre”. Samantha Kane, who has
performed at Street Life, wrote us to disagree. If anyone else disagrees, or has a problem with something in this newsletter, please take Kane’s lead. Our reviews are just one opinion, and not
necessarily the “right” one. If you have something to say, we’ll publish it in our next newsletter (which probably won’t be for another six months, given our record). Enjoy this issue.
Who knows when another one will come along?
