namesake band will have to buy their fans. They've already received many commercial successes, with their songs being played on television commercial and entertainment spots, and have enjoyed backing high profile political figures of today, like Howard Dean. But, for Steven, what he really enjoys is the interaction with a live audience—that's the relationship that's really important to him. He takes the stage like an actor in the perfect "rock-star" role and engages the crowd with his theatrical performance.  A tight band further drives the songs, bassist Rob Deluca joined guitarist Matt Anthony and drummer Dave Femia that night. Backstage the guys were down-to-earth and very funny.  They said that in a band, you "either grow, or implode," and their growth is apparent when you hear their music and long list of accomplishments over the past few years. You can learn more about the interesting history of the band at www.TammanyHallNYC.com.

Everyone enjoyed the headlining act, Glenn Tilbrook & The Fluffers. It was noted all around that Glenn sounds as good as he did twenty years ago, if not better. A terrific band backed him. He had a young female bass player who gave a very strong performance. The keyboardists' hands were a blur as he mastered the keys. The drummer just plain rocked. The band looked like they were having a really good time on-stage, and what could be more important than that? The jam-packed Saint patrons sang along with some classic Squeeze songs and enjoyed the humor and energy of Glenn's new solo material.

voices lent beautifully to the message-oriented song, “If you don’t stand for something, you just fall for everything.” Bobby’s friend Richard, who he ran into outside and he hadn’t seen in years, also joined him Saturday night.  It was great to see Bobby on-stage surrounded by all his friends and so much talent.

Next up was Steven Delopoulos. He gave a raw, unadulterated performance. Steve was accompanied by Pat Guadagno, who he thanked as his inspiration, "Pat is one of those guys that you see and you aspire to someday be as good —you know you never will." Steve and Pat opened their set with "Daisies & Roses." This original song of Steve's has never been released on any of his records, but it should be – with Pat.  The two of them have a magical chemistry together. The guitar playing and emotion of this song are breathtaking.  Both men are incredibly proficient finger-pickers and their vocal harmonies are so good they appear effortless. The two played one more very nice "Steve" original "Eileen's Song"––and moved on to what might be described as "whiskey-blues"—they did a Tom Paxton song to hoots and hollers from the crowd and an inspiring rendition of a Gospel song.

Jon and Rob took the stage next. They have an edgy style, in their sound and their look.  Both wore great suits and had good hair…this only highlighted their polished melodic original songs. They are putting out a full-length record with their band, Blowup.  They told stories with their songs that had the crowd cheering.  They performed a great version of their "I Saw God" which was featured on 90.5 The Night's Fall 2004 Local Music Sampler—a must have...you need only become a member…Jon would like this to be a free service, but it continued on page 13
