from page 6 think because the strings are old. So I picked it up and did a live audition.
Carole: And he loved ya? Michael: Yeah, So I was the first hackman to ever play here.
Carole: How often do you play at Indigo? Michael: Once a month but I also host open mic night here every other Thursday. I share the duties with with friends "Jon Caspi & April Smith"
Carole: From an artist's perspective, what do you think of Indigo Coffeehouse as a venue? Michael: It's a great place and it's only just beginning. It's a great area for music; there's not much around here that's not considered a bar where you can hear live music.
Carole: Do you find you get a more attentive audience here? Michael: It's a different crowd. People aren't drinking so they regularly come here to hear the music.
Carole: Do you do well with CD sales at Indigo? Michael: I'm working on one right now and it would definitely be offered as I have had many requests for my music.
Carole: How often do you gig now? Michael: Not as much. I enjoy playing here now. I remember the days when we rented a generator and would play in the parking lot at Giants Stadium with hundreds of people around us.
Carole: What's your day job? Michael: I have my own business. I'm a computer consultant.
Carole: Did you gig in high school and college? Michael: We played a lot of battle of the bands. We used to play 4 nights a week.
