Upon first glance, Dawne Allynne seems like the girl next door--the Jersey girl you always hung out with down at a tiki bar or beach. But after I spoke to her, I learned that she's been a dedicated musician for years. So, you think you’ve just written the next #1 Hit and you’re ready for the big time! Before sending your musical gem to the latest contest (producer, performer, etc.), have you considered the following: - Do the song’s words make sense? - Is your idea fresh and unique? - Is the rhyme scheme consistent? - How many seconds does it take before the listener hears the "hook"?

There are many local venues all along the Jersey coast, where local bands are able to play shows, and try to get their music heard. But many bands, especially up and coming bands, aren't sure what to expect with each venue. They may have questions such as what is needed, what is supplied by the club/venue itself, and so forth.

Red Bank, New Jersey, is a very popular area for the local music scene. Because of the Internet Cafe and Chubby's, there is rarely a weekend that either venue is not holding a show or two without age restrictions. Chubby's, which holds "All Ages" shows almost every weekend, has been a popular place for bands that need a place where performers under 18 can showcase their talents. In many ways, this venue is ideal because the club provides PA, sound system, and a professional sound technician.
