bell-ringing medley of tunes by the Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, and himself in his own warm, personable style, which made one feel like they were sitting in Harvard’s living room, spinning some tunes and passing the dutchy. Joe will be playing the Saint at The Ween DVD party next Wednesday Aug. 25th.

Stigmatic at The Wonder Bar

With acoustic guitar and backing on congas, Eric ran through a gamut of new material from downright moody to jump-up and shake punchy stuff that he was debuting at a Saint show later that week; dug the Bongos’ cover "Something to this life," then it was back to the intimate piano-bar stage for a Jack Stock moment

This newly Eatontown-based solo artist has been jamming under a more local spotlight lately; Stock almost immediately charms you and pulls you in, as on "Booboo, it’s over," with Booboo’s call and response ‘yeahs’ chorus and spritely guitar funk. Or the man and his guitar are off and running with the tense, strutting funk of "Motel in Jersey" with its Bonnie and Clyde meet Sugarland Express lyrical theme that tells the tale of a wanted man and lusty woman.

I stumbled upon a photo shoot for the 50th Anniversary of the Chevy Corvette at Wonder Bar. And hanging out in the cool
