SICA’s One-Five Anniversary

continued from page 8
Remember that SICA was established as a non-profit 501(c)3 in August 2000 when the group recognized the lack of opportunities for people to learn about contemporary art in Central New Jersey. SICA was founded to act as a regional center through which to experience and study the contemporary arts. Speaking of studying the contemporary arts, one of the ways you can help support the SICA missions and vision in it's continued growth is to do just that--STUDY THE ARTS! Check out www.sica.org to see the class schedule, or pick up a course catalog during your visit.

Art at SICA

Unknown

The primary goal of this contemporary art center is to increase public accessibility, awareness, appreciation and knowledge of the contemporary arts by creating a stimulating environment in which to experience the arts. They are accomplishing this mission via ongoing series of classes, seminars, exhibitions, lectures, and demonstrations that respond to the cultural interests and diversity of it's audience.

With so much to offer, there is always something new and exciting going on within the walls of this historical building at 20 Third Avenue in Long Branch. My recommendation is that you check it out for yourself! The weekend evenings are a great time to visit SICA and take in some live music at the SICA Cafe at the same time. To check when doors are open for you to explore the arts at SICA, and for an updated schedule of who's playing at SICA's Cafe Canning Company, surf www.sica.org, or call 732.263.1121.
